OuterBay Enterprise Architecture
Scalable, Reliable Platform for Information Lifecycle Management

In most organizations, uncontrolled data growth is not an isolated, departmental situation. It is an enterprise-wide application problem, and as such it calls for an enterprise data management solution. In today's heterogeneous enterprise environments, data resides in multiple applications, databases and platforms. To effectively manage the entire information data management lifecycle, you need more than just a set of standalone tools. You need a software suite based on an integrated enterprise data management platform, and a proven architecture than can scale with your business, accommodate upgrades and maintain or improve user Service Level Agreements.

OuterBay is the only vendor to deliver such an enterprise platform for application data management. Only OuterBay ADM supports enterprise wide application environments, including Oracle, PeopleSoft and custom applications, with monitoring, archiving and subsetting capabilities built on a single, integrated, enterprise architecture.

Every OuterBay solution is built on a single, integrated, meta-data management driven architecture to support the multiple requirements of the enterprise. With the OuterBay Enterprise Architecture, you can:

  • Manage the entire data lifecycle within a common runtime environment, including monitoring, live archiving, encapsulated archiving and subsetting. The open, reusable, meta-data management driven architecture greatly reduces the cost of ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness by acting as a safety net to provide secure, 24 x 7 operations, including recovery and restart, as well as error logging, handling and notification, with no downtime required.
  • Support the enterprise across multiple applications, databases, operating systems, platforms, and storage classes. By providing a common technology platform, OuterBay allows you to centrally control your enterprise applications in accordance with corporate standards.

Used by each module in the OuterBay ADM suite, Enterprise Architecture delivers relia

bility, stability and performance across all application environments.
