Nowadays, the online availability of business information is an essential factor for the success of many companies. In particular, this applies for important data of the company. In the SAP's standard applications the amount of data can be too large to keep the company-relevant data of one fiscal year.

The challenge to provide the user as fast as possible with as much data as possible caused Günther Reichling to found PBS Softwareberatung in 1991. It took only a short time to develop an archiving software allowing to access archived data in the online operation for several years. The result were the PBS online archives used as standard software solutions in the SAP environment.

Today, more than 500 companies worldwide use the PBS archive add ons.
